Kindergarten Teacher – 2026 (Bega, NSW)
Permanent Part-Time (4 Days/Week)

Mumbulla School is seeking a passionate and nurturing Kindergarten Teacher to join our vibrant Steiner community. This role offers the opportunity to guide young children through a self-directed, child initiated creative play program that fosters imagination, reverence, and a love of learning. Situated in the beautiful Bega Valley, our school fosters a deep connection to nature and a strong sense of belonging for both students and staff.

As a Kindergarten Teacher, you will create a warm, rhythmical environment that supports the social, emotional, physical, and creative development of each child. You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues and families, celebrate seasonal festivals, and contribute to the life of our school.

Selection Criteria

Applicants must address the following criteria in their application:

  1. Accredited teaching qualifications and current NSW teaching registration.
  2. Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of Rudolf Steiner’s educational philosophy, or a clear willingness to undertake professional development in this area.
  3. Demonstrated ability to create a nurturing, aesthetically rich classroom environment that supports imaginative play and holistic development.
  4. Strong skills in curriculum planning and delivery, including rhythmical scheduling and creative activities aligned with Steiner and NESA frameworks.
  5. Proven ability to use observation and assessment to guide student development, maintain accurate records, and communicate progress effectively with families.
  6. Ability to collaborate professionally with colleagues, participate in faculty meetings, and engage in reflective practice and ongoing professional learning.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a commitment to respectful, clear engagement with parents and caregivers.
  8. Willingness to participate in school festivals, open days, and community events, and contribute to the life of the school.
  9. Current Working with Children Check, First Aid certification, and understanding of mandatory reporting and WHS responsibilities.
